Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Rednal, West Midlands. You will work with the class teacher to support learning, development and wellbeing, with a focus on pupils with SEND.

You will help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence and independence, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment through collaborative teamwork with teachers and support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Caring, flexible and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
• Providing targeted support to pupils with SEND, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Encouraging pupils to develop independence, confidence and positive learning habits.
