Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant to support KS2 pupils in a standout Wolverhampton primary school. You’ll run 1:1 and small group interventions to boost reading, writing and maths, and you’ll help pupils move quickly through basics with structured sessions.

You’ll work with Years 3–6, pre-teaching content, delivering retrieval drills, and recording progress. A 2:2 degree and strong communication are essential, with an Enhanced DBS preferred or willing to

Qualifications

• Degree in any subject with a 2:2 or above.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – held already or willingness to obtain.
• Desire to work in education/with children – genuine commitment to KS2 progress and inclusion.
• Experience working with children – tutoring, mentoring, volunteering desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused catch-up sessions in reading, writing and maths for Years 3–6.
• Pre-teach key content, run short retrieval and fluency drills.
• Prepare lean resources and keep progress notes.
• Agree next steps with class teachers after each cycle.
