Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated KS2 SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Skegness from September on a full‑time basis. The role may become permanent and focuses on nurturing pupils with SEMH needs to thrive academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities include planning differentiated KS2 lessons, maintaining a safe classroom, forming strong relationships, and working with the wider team to monitor progress and support wellbeing.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching KS2 and understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Knowledge of SEMH needs and strategies to support pupils with additional social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
• Strong classroom management and ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may have barriers to learning.
• Patient, resilient and compassionate approach to teaching.
• Experience in SEND/SEMH or specialist settings would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS2 pupils with SEMH needs.
• Create a safe, structured environment promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships to support social, emotional and academic development.
• Use strategies to support emotional regulation, resilience and readiness to learn.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents and external professionals to provide consistent support.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches to maximise engagement.
• Promote inclusion, independence and self‑confidence through a nurturing approach.
