Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Year 6 teacher for a full-time role covering Glossop, Tameside, Oldham and surrounding areas. Applicants must be willing to travel up to 30 minutes from home.

You will plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum, prepare pupils for SATs, and work with support staff, parents and senior leaders to monitor progress and provide targeted support. QTS is required and experience in Key Stage 2 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Passion for helping children reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for SATs and end-of-year assessments.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

We are looking for individuals who can confidently support pupils through this crucial stage of their primary education and prepare them for the transition to secondary school.

The Role:

• Full-time Year 6 teaching position
• Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
