Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated Year 6 Teacher to join our network across Glossop, Tameside, Oldham and surrounding areas. This full-time role involves planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum, and preparing pupils for SATs in the run-up to secondary transition.

Applicants must have QTS and KS2 experience, with strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Passion for helping children reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Year 6 lessons aligned to the national curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for SATs and end-of-year assessments.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide targeted support.
• Collaborate with support staff, parents, and school leaders.

We are looking for individuals who can confidently support pupils through this crucial stage of their primary education and prepare them for the transition to secondary school.

The Role:

• Full-time Year 6 teaching position
• Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Preparing pupils for SATs and end-of-year assessments
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing targeted support where required
• Working closely with support staff, parents, and senior leaders
