Job summary

Think Education is seeking a dedicated tutor to support a Key Stage 2 student on a one-to-one basis at a Pupil Referral Unit in Northumberland. This role starts immediately and runs during school hours, offering a rewarding chance to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey.

You will deliver personalised sessions aligned with the KS2 curriculum, help English and Maths progress, adapt teaching methods, and liaise with staff to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally KS2.
• Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum.
• Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised learning sessions aligned with Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Support the student’s academic progress in core subjects such as English and Maths.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Build a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Liaise with school staff and Think Education to monitor progress.
