Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role at a welcoming primary school in the Birmingham area (B72). The position runs for the full academic year, supporting Year 4 pupils and contributing to a nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification, have primary school experience, and hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply). The role offers school-hours only and stability.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification is essential.
• Experience as TA in a primary school, ideally KS2/Year 4.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support for Year 4 pupils.
• Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and assessment support.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other support staff.
