Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking qualified QTS and HLTA tutors based in the Chester-Le-Street area to provide 1:1 and small group tuition in English and Maths for students across KS2-KS4.

You will support students with SEN and SEMH needs, helping them to build confidence, re-engage with learning, and reintegrate into a school setting. Location Peterlee, October 2026 start, temporary contract.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS or HLTA qualifications are required.
• Minimum 6 months+ experience working in a UK school.
• Right to Work in the UK and DBS checks / references.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group tuition in English and Maths.
• Support SEN and SEMH needs to help students re-engage with learning.
• Deliver tailored sessions and assist reintegration into school settings.
