Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant for a 2-form entry school in Erdington (Aston/Witton area). The role starts ASAP and runs until at least May 2027, supporting lower ability pupils with gaps in numeracy and literacy.

You will follow a set timetable, target individual learners, and work as part of a supportive team. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are essential; a proactive approach to identifying gaps will help personalise learning.

Qualifications

• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to recognise gaps in learning and tailor support.
• Experience with KS2 intervention is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support targeted pupils with numeracy and literacy within KS2.

A 2 form entry school in Aston/Witton are looking for a Key Stage 2 specialist for an intervention position commencing asap until at least the end o May 2027.

The suitable candidate will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills and have the ability to recognise the gaps in learning and accommodate each individual child. The teacher will have a set timetable with specific children. The position is working with lower ability children who require additional support.
