Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated KS2 English Teacher to join a SEND-focused school in the United Kingdom. The role centers on pupils with Speech and Language needs and Autism, delivering engaging, adapted English lessons that support literacy and confidence.

You will work with speech and language therapists, SENCOs and support staff to implement personalised learning plans within a nurturing, inclusive environment, promoting communication development and academic progress for every pupil.

• Work closely with speech and language therapists, SENCOs, and support staff to implement personalised learning and communication plans.
• Foster a calm, supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence, participation, and positive interaction.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly in English.
• Experience supporting pupils with Speech and Language needs and/or Autism (ASC).
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Confidence using visual communication tools and structured teaching approaches.
• A patient, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching, with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
