Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated KS2 English Teacher to join a SEND-focused school in the United Kingdom. The role centers on pupils with Speech and Language needs and Autism, delivering engaging, adapted English lessons that support literacy and confidence.

You will work with speech and language therapists, SENCOs and support staff to implement personalised learning plans within a nurturing, inclusive environment, promoting communication development and academic progress for every pupil.

Qualifications

• QTS with experience teaching KS2 English.
• Strong differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Experience supporting pupils with Speech and Language needs and/or Autism.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons for KS2 pupils with Speech & Language needs and Autism.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support communication, literacy, and comprehension development.
• Use visual supports, simplified language, modelling, and structured routines to aid understanding.
• Collaborate with speech and language therapists, SENCOs, and support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
• Create a calm, supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence and participation.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt methods to individual needs.
