Job summary

TimePlan Education Group is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a Stockport primary school. The role focuses on fostering positive behaviour, building trusting relationships, and helping pupils engage with learning throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEND or challenging behaviour, be patient and calm, and can implement de-escalation strategies. Team Teach training is desirable. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children.
• Patient, approachable and resilient.
• Strong behaviour management and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Team Teach or similar positive handling/de-escalation training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to KS2 pupils in mainstream classrooms.
• Build relationships and encourage positive behaviour.
• Apply behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND.
• Collaborate with teachers and school team to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Celebrate progress and help pupils recognise their achievements.
