Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Nelson is seeking a caring and dedicated 1:1 KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil throughout the school day, helping them access learning, build confidence and reach their potential.

The role offers a supportive school environment with opportunities for professional development. Start date January 2027 or ASAP; hours 8.30am – 3.30pm, pay £14.25–£15.50 per hour.

Formación

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Patient, nurturing and supportive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (desirable).
• Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare qualification (desirable).
• Strong safeguarding and child protection understanding.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil throughout the school day.
• Assist in implementing individual learning plans and targeted interventions.
• Support the pupil's academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Foster positive relationships and encourage engagement in lessons.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback on the pupil's achievements and development.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times.

Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time 8.30am - 3.30pm

Key Responsibilities
