Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Teaching Assistant in Newcastle upon Tyne to join a primary school on a full-time, long-term basis. The role supports KS1 pupils, assisting with lesson delivery and promoting a positive learning environment. Start ASAP, with a daily rate of £93–£100.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 2/3 TA qualification, has KS1 experience, and demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills. A dedicated consultant team and market-leading pay are on offer.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is required.
• Experience in a primary school setting, ideally KS1.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Positive, proactive approach; adaptable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with activities and lesson delivery.
• Encourage pupil engagement and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Work across KS1 to support learning in the classroom.
