Job summary

Justteachers is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time role in a Preston primary school commencing September 2026. You will support teaching and learning across KS1, delivering targeted phonics and reading interventions.

You will work with small groups and individual pupils, support pupils with varying learning needs, assist with classroom preparation and displays, promote positive behaviour and engagement, and help track pupil progress in a caring, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous UK primary school experience.
• Experience supporting pupils within KS1.
• Strong understanding of phonics programmes.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Justteachers is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant, who is looking for a long term role in a Primary school in the Preston area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.
