Job summary

Poppleton Road Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support individuals and small groups, primarily in KS1, with some in-class duties. The role includes providing high quality PPA cover up to 3 sessions per week across N–Y2 and working as part of a collaborative school team.

Term-time only, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am–3.15pm, with DBS checked and safeguarding at the forefront of the role in Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEMH, SLCN and Elklan background.
• Enjoys collaborating and working as part of a team.
• Contributes to the wider life of the school.
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
• Provide high quality PPA cover across N–Y2 for up to 3 sessions weekly with targeted support including phonics, SALT, SEMH and 1:1

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality PPA cover for N–Y2 up to 3 sessions per week.
• Support children in class with targeted teaching and small group work.
• Assist with phonics intervention, SALT and SEMH support as part of a team.
