Job summary

Arboretum Primary School is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to join our large and supportive team. You will assist across KS1 and KS2, supervise pupils in class, in groups, and 1:1 when required, and provide cover during PPA time.

This permanent role is paid on the Derby Diocesan Academy Trust pay scales with a 35-hour week over 39 weeks, starting as soon as possible. We are a busy inner-city school committed to high standards of learning, care and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified teaching assistant with KS1/KS2 experience.
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Teaching & Learning or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with varied abilities and emotions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of pupils in the classroom, in groups and 1:1 when required.
• Provide cover for the class whilst the teacher takes their PPA time.
• Support teaching staff and pupils across the school with resilience and kindness.
