Job summary

Our Lady and St Gerard's RC Primary School in Lostock Hall, Preston, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support pupils in Key Stage 1 under the guidance of the class teacher. You will help individuals and groups with structured activities, contributing to confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The role requires experience with KS1, phonics and early reading/writing, plus a strong English and maths ability, teamwork and a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• A good standard of English and mathematics with ability to support learning.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and groups of KS1 pupils with structured activities.
• Assist with phonics, early reading and writing development.
• Foster independence, positive behaviour and inclusive learning.
• Support lunchtime welfare and outdoor play, encouraging safe, active play.
