Job summary

Salford is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our KS1 team. The post is term-time only, 35 hours per week, with a fixed-term contract until July 2027 and a start date of 4 January 2027.

You will be adaptable, willing to work across the school and support pupils and colleagues to achieve progress. The role requires experience in phonics and reading, strong administration and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching phonics and reading.
• Ability to support groups of children to make progress across the curriculum.
• Ability to support colleagues and work across the school.
• Excellent administration and interpersonal skills.
• Experience running extra-curricular clubs.
• Willingness to be part of a team and go above and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Join KS1 team initially and support teaching and learning.
