Job summary

Randstad Education is actively recruiting enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistants to support Year 1 and Year 2 pupils across Leeds, bringing your passion for early literacy into thriving classroom environments.

You will deliver targeted phonics interventions using programmes such as Read Write Inc., Little Wandle, or Letters and Sounds, with Enhanced DBS and Update Service, plus ongoing guidance from your Leeds consultant.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience supporting literacy in a UK Key Stage 1 classroom.
• Skilled in Read Write Inc / Little Wandle / Letters and Sounds phonics programmes.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service or willingness to obtain.
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small-group reading interventions.

Responsibilities

• Support primary schools across Leeds with literacy interventions.
• Work with Year 1 and Year 2 pupils to raise reading attainment.
• Collaborate with class teachers and teaching staff to implement targeted strategies.

• Targeted Intervention: Proven track record running 1:1 and small-group reading interventions to raise pupil attainment ahead of national assessments.
