Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Harborne area. The role is full-time and starts as soon as possible, continuing until the end of the academic year.

You will support pupils in KS1, work 1:1 and in small groups, and assist with Little Wandle phonics to help pupils access learning. The role involves contributing to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment, collaborating with the class teacher and school team, and building

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
  • Experience working with children within a Primary School setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils within KS1.
  • Knowledge or experience of the Little Wandle phonics scheme.
  • Good understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
  • A calm, patient and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Reliable and proactive approach.

Job description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Harborne area. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.

The role will involve supporting pupils within Key Stage 1, helping them access learning and develop their confidence across the curriculum. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide effective classroom support, including supporting phonics using the Little Wandle scheme.
