Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a reliable KS1 Teacher to join our pool for Trafford area schools on a supply basis, with daily or long-term opportunities.

You will plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2), foster a positive classroom environment and work with colleagues, support staff and parents to monitor pupil progress. QTS or equivalent, enhanced DBS, and safeguarding knowledge per KCSIE are required.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Recent KS1 teaching experience preferred.
• Strong behaviour management and organisation.
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding knowledge per KCSIE.

Responsibilities

Locations: Trafford (Sale, Altrincham and Stretford)

Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm.

Contract: Temporary. Temp to perm opportunities may be available.

Start: ASAP

Pay: GBP150.00 - GBP200 per day depending on qualifications and experience

KS1 Teacher - about the role:

• Teaching a KS1 class (Year 1 or Year 2)
• Responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal development
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure pupil progress
• Participation in staff meetings, CPD, and wider school life as required

KS1 Teacher - candidate requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Recent experience teaching in KS1 is desirable
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
• A reflective, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching
• Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
