Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant in Trafford. The role is a temporary position supporting pupils across Years 3 to 6 with 1:1 help as needed and involvement in targeted writing interventions. Leading up to SATs interventions is preferred.

The candidate should have UK right-to-work, an enhanced DBS, and two references. Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable; safeguarding training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting KS2 pupils (Y3–Y6).
• Ability to deliver targeted interventions, especially writing.
• Previous UK school experience preferred.
• Right to Work in the UK with no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support to pupils across Y3–Y6.
• Offer 1:1 support when required.
• Prepare and deliver targeted interventions to improve writing skills.
• Participate in wider school activities.

Location: Trafford

Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm

Contract: Temporary

Start: ASAP

Pay: GBP92.63 - GBP120 per day depending on qualifications and experience

Michaela is currently looking for experienced KS2 Teaching Assistants who are open to long-term opportunities.

KS2 Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support to pupils across Y3 - Y6
• Offer 1:1 support as and when required
• Be confident preparing specific interventions targeting writing skills
• Participate in wider school life

KS2 Teaching Assistant - Requirements

• Hold Right to Work in the UK - no sponsorship available
• Hold an Enhanced Child DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references that cover the last two years, including any appropriate child-related work experience
• Appropriate CV history including mention of any employment/studying gaps
• Teaching Assistant qualifications desirable
• SEN/SEMH Awareness desirable
• Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally up to at least 6 months
• Updated training including safeguarding, prevent and allergy + anaphylaxis training (desirable however not essential as training is provided)
