Prospero Teaching is seeking KS1 Teachers!

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities in North Birmingham? Look no further! Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting supply teachers for a range of positions, including long-term, short-term, and daily bookings across schools in North Birmingham..

Location – North Birmingham
Position – KS1 Teacher
Type of work – Class Teacher –
Contract or position start date – ASAP
Duration – Daily and Long term
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary
Full time/part time – Full time
Minimum rate of pay – Negotiable
Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Teaching: Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the KS1 curriculum, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
  • Assessment and Tracking: Regularly assess student progress and implement effective strategies to support both high-achieving students and those requiring additional support.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the KS1 team and other staff members to ensure consistency and high standards in teaching and learning.
  • Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure open communication and support for the childrens academic progress.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

QTS and Experience: It is essential that you have QTS and experience teaching in a school setting in either a permanent or supply cover role.
Safeguarding: Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative. If you haven’t completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide you with a free course.

To be eligible for any job with Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years.
