Job Opportunity: SEN Humanities Teacher

Hays Education is supporting a local school in recruiting a dedicated SEN Humanities Teacher for the summer term. The role begins in April and continues until the end of the academic year. The details are as follows:

  • The school is located in north Birmingham, approximately a 15-minute drive from the city centre. It describes itself as a focused and dedicated school with a student-centered ethos.
  • The school caters to children at KS3 level with social, emotional, and mental health challenges (SEMH).
  • The role involves planning, teaching, and assessing the Humanities curriculum for a KS3 cohort.
  • Class sizes are small, with four classes and approximately 30 children enrolled at the school.
  • The position is Monday to Friday, mornings to afternoons, on a term-time only basis.
  • The school offers support and training for candidates who may not have prior experience working in SEMH settings.
