Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a confident KS1 Teacher for a West Drayton primary school from January 2027. The role is full-time, long-term maternity cover on the Outer London pay scale (MPS to UPS depending on experience).

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have UK KS1 experience, and be adept at teaching Year 1/2 curricula, phonics and early reading. A supportive school community awaits from January 2027 onward.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent UK primary KS1 teaching experience.
• Experience delivering phonics and early reading sessions is essential.
• Strong classroom management and ability to adapt lessons for all learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons across the curriculum.
• Develop reading, writing, phonics and maths skills.
• Use assessment to monitor progress and identify areas for support.
• Maintain positive behaviour and establish routines.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and year group colleagues.
• Build relationships with parents and carers.
