Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing KS1 Teacher to join a friendly and dedicated team for the full 2025–2026 academic year.

At this school, they are committed to providing a happy, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Duties as a KS1 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.

  • Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback and maintaining accurate records.

  • Support children in developing early literacy, numeracy and social skills through creative and interactive learning experiences.

  • Work effectively with teaching assistants to ensure all children’s needs are met, including those with SEND or EAL.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support pupil wellbeing and learning.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, trips, extracurricular activities and themed events.

  • Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions and training opportunities.

  • Promote the school’s values and uphold our behaviour expectations.

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

  • Be a caring, reflective and committed practitioner with high expectations for all learners.

  • Have experience teaching in KS1 or Early Years.

  • Understand the importance of early child development and a play-based approach.

  • Be organised, creative and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Be committed to continuous professional development and school improvement.

  • Have QTS
