Job description

This school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Teacher to join a friendly and dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, creative lessons to pupils in Year 1 or Year 2, helping them develop a strong foundation in core skills and a love of learning. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as KS1 Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons based on the KS1 National Curriculum
  2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  3. Assess pupil progress, provide feedback, and adapt teaching as needed
  4. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil development
  5. Contribute to wider school life, including events, trips, and extra-curricular activities
Ideal KS1 Teacher:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  2. A sound understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early learning pedagogy
  3. Experience in Key Stage 1 (or EYFS/KS2 experience with a willingness to adapt)
  4. Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  5. A warm, nurturing, and reflective approach to teaching
  6. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
