Job description

We are looking for a creative and committed KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the learning and development of pupils in Year 1 or Year 2, delivering high-quality teaching that supports both academic and personal progress. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
2. Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports early learning
3. Assess, track, and report on pupil progress using a range of strategies
4. Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support individual needs
5. Foster a love of learning through creative and inspiring teaching approaches
6. Uphold the school’s values and contribute to the wider school community

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (ECTs welcome to apply)
3. A sound understanding of phonics, early reading, and early assessment practices
4. Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills as a KS1 Teacher
5. A positive, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and teamwork
