GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and qualified Key Stage 1 Teachers to work in vibrant and welcoming primary schools in Scunthorpe.

As a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment, delivering the national curriculum, and supporting students' academic and emotional development. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of early childhood education and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities of Key Stage 1 Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver creative and effective lessons to KS1 pupils
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupils’ progress and development
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Support pupils with varying needs, including those with EAL or additional learning needs
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and school activities

KS1 Teacher Skills & Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 across UK primary schools.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS1
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to the academic and personal growth of all pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
