GSL Education are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a committed KS1 Teacher to join friendly and supportive primary schools in Brigg. This flexible teaching role is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs seeking to develop their careers in a warm and inclusive environment.

About the Role:

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative and interactive lessons that meet the needs of pupils in Years 1 and 2. You will promote a stimulating learning environment, ensuring pupils are supported both academically and personally in line with the national curriculum.

KS1 Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the KS1 curriculum
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Plan and assess lessons to ensure pupil progress
  • Maintain strong behaviour management within the classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership teams
  • Provide feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Skills & Requirements for Key Stage 1 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Recent experience teaching within a KS1 classroom
  • A sound understanding of the KS1 national curriculum
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
