Are you a flexible and passionate teacher looking for a new role starting ASAP?

GSL Education is working with a school based in central Plymouth that is seeking a KS1 Teacher to join their team on a long-term contract with the possibility of going permanent.

Role Overview

As a KS1 Supply Teacher, you will cover classes as needed, ensuring a smooth continuation of lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You should bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to connect with students quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver pre-planned lessons confidently, adapting as necessary to meet student needs.
2. Maintain classroom management to foster a positive, structured environment using effective behaviour strategies.
3. Assess and support students by monitoring progress and helping them understand lesson content.
4. Work across different schools in Poole, gaining diverse experience across year groups and subjects.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/PGCE): A recognised teaching qualification is essential.
• Flexibility & adaptability: A positive approach to working in various school environments and year groups.
• Classroom management skills: Confidence in managing classrooms and promoting respectful learning environments.
• Driving licence (beneficial): Useful for travel between schools in Poole.
