Job Title: Primary Teacher QTS

Location: PLYMOUTH
Salary: Paid to teacher scale (MPS/UPS)

Are you a flexible and passionate teacher looking for a new role with an ASAP start?

GSL Education is working with a school based in central Plymouth that is seeking a KS1 Teacher to join their team on a long-term contract with the potential to go permanent.

Role Overview

As a KS1 Supply Teacher, you will cover classes as needed, ensuring a smooth continuation of lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You will bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and an ability to connect with students quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver pre-planned lessons confidently, adapting as needed to meet student needs.
2. Maintain classroom management by fostering a positive, structured environment and using effective behaviour strategies.
3. Assess and support students by providing encouragement, monitoring progress, and helping students understand lesson content.
4. Work across different schools in Poole, gaining experience across year groups and subjects.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/PGCE): A recognised teaching qualification is required.
• Flexibility & adaptability: A positive, flexible approach is essential for working in various school environments and year groups.
• Classroom management skills: Confidence in managing classrooms and promoting respectful learning environments.
• Driving licence (beneficial): Having a driving licence is advantageous for traveling between schools in the Poole area.
