Job summary

Supply Desk is delighted to partner with Windsor Primary School in Windsor to appoint a passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher for a September start, with full-time or part-time options. This welcoming school supports pupils’ early literacy and numeracy.

You will deliver engaging, differentiated KS1 lessons, assess progress, support pupils including those with SEN, and collaborate with teaching assistants. A QTS is desirable; strong communication with parents and colleagues is essential, with CPD

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1.
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and phonics teaching.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Engaging, adaptable, and nurturing teaching style.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Desirable: Year 1 or Year 2 experience.
• Knowledge of Read Write Inc/Letters and Sounds phonics schemes.
• Experience using assessment data to support pupil progress.
• Experience supporting children with SEN.
• Commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum.
• Support pupils progress in reading, writing, phonics, and maths.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and targeted interventions.
• Support children with a range of abilities, including those with SEN.
• Promote pupils confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.

Supply Desk is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Windsor to appoint a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative school community and play a key role in developing pupils early educational foundations.

This role would suit an enthusiastic and nurturing teacher with a strong understanding of Key Stage 1, who is committed to helping pupils build confidence and achieve success in their early years of primary education.

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher, you will support young learners as they develop core skills in literacy, numeracy, and social development. You will deliver engaging lessons and foster a love of learning within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
