Qualifications

• Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is mandatory.
• Experience within the last 2 years supporting SEN children and young people.
• Must be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS if not already held.

• Prepare resources and learning materials for the class.
• Assist in maintaining a nurturing classroom environment.

Smile Education are proud to be supporting a SEND Primary School within the Dudley area, in the appointment of a Key Stage 1 SEN Teaching Assistant.

The school wish to appoint a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their passionate team of educators.
This role offers you the opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis supporting pupils across different classes with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SPLD, SEMH. Working alongside the dedicated class teachers you will support in implementing and maintaining a nurturing and calm environment.

• SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 1- (Dudley)
• Flexible work pattern – Part time or Full time
• Term time only
• 1:1 Pupil support
• Working independently and as part of the KS1 Team
• Preparing resources and learning materials
• Ensuring pupils are fully supported in their academic, social and emotional development

About You:

• Must hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Ability to travel to Dudley
• Confident in working independently in a 1:1 role
• Experience of supporting SEN children and young people within the last 2 years
• Be able to provide references covering the last 2 years, including interactions with children and young people
• Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate or willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
