Job summary

St Giles’ C.E Primary School is seeking a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils, particularly a designated child, in class and in small groups. The role includes a 30-minute daily lunch supervision and duties aligned with a dedicated classroom assistant.

The post holder will work with teachers to raise academic progress, promote positive behaviours, and may participate in safeguarding and DBS processes. Term: fixed for one year.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Dedication and enthusiasm, high expectations for every child

Responsibilities

• Work with classroom teacher to support a specific child 1:1 or in small groups
• Provide lunchtime supervision for 30 minutes daily
• Support pupil progression through interventions and positive learning behaviours
