Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher to cover sickness in a KS1 SEN Hub at a warm mainstream primary in the Wyre area. The role starts 6 November 2026 and involves delivering a highly differentiated curriculum to 8 pupils with ASC, SEMH, and SLD, supported by a 1:3 staff team.

You will work closely with the SENCo, parents, and external professionals, employing adaptive teaching strategies, PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables to support individual EHCP targets and sensitive

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with SEN experience in KS1.
• Ability to differentiate for learners with ASC, SEMH and SLD.
• Experience using PECS, Makaton or visual timetables.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a highly differentiated, sensory-rich curriculum for 8 pupils.
• Lead and support a team of 3 Teaching Assistants.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with SENCo, parents and external professionals.
