Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in KS1 at a Grays primary school. The role focuses on aiding children with SEND, especially those with ASD and behavioural needs, across mainstream classes and the inclusion hub.

You will collaborate with teachers and SEND staff to implement EHCP targets, helping pupils access learning, develop social skills, and build confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment. A permanent position may arise.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ASD and behavioural needs.
• Understanding of SEND and inclusive practice.
• Experience in a primary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASD and behavioural needs across KS1.
• Work with class teachers and SEND staff to deliver tailored support.
• Follow EHCP targets and strategies.
• Assist children in accessing learning and developing social skills.
• Provide support within both mainstream class settings and the inclusion hub.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
