Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a KS1/KS2 teacher to join a specialist SEMH school on a full-time, full-year basis, starting ASAP. The role requires QTS, KS1/KS2 experience and a passion for supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons in a supportive environment, building relationships and helping pupils academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS and relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching KS1/KS2.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs.
• Confident managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.
• Able to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons to KS1/KS2 pupils.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and resilient teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will work within a supportive specialist setting, delivering engaging lessons while helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching KS1/KS2
• Have experience working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs
• Be confident managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Be able to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Have strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills
