Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a busy warehouse operation in the East Midlands. You will lead inbound, outbound and reverse logistics, driving efficiency, service levels and continuous improvement across the site.

This hands-on role offers a Monday–Friday 7am–3pm schedule, with progression opportunities and a benefits package including health and wellbeing support and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior warehouse management role.
• Strong background within a 3PL/logistics environment.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Experienced in managing KPIs, budgets, and operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse systems (WMS).
• Commercially aware with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Confident communicator who can influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all warehouse operations including goods in, dispatch, and returns.
• Drive operational performance, KPIs, and service levels.
• Control costs and manage resources effectively.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and company procedures.
• Develop, mentor, and inspire Team Leaders and warehouse staff.
• Manage workforce planning to meet changing business demands.
• Oversee WMS processes and operational reporting.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Foster a positive, high-performing culture across the operation.
