  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and their practical use.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, able to build relationships.
  • High attention to detail and methodical information management.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and adapting to new platforms.
  • Experience using generative AI tools such as Copilot, Harvey, ChatGPT or Claude is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development, testing and refinement of prompts, workflows and use cases.
  • Gather user feedback, monitor adoption and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop user guidance, resources and workflow documentation for responsible AI adoption.
  • Act as a point of contact for routine queries related to AI tools and initiatives.
  • Monitor AI developments and relevant use cases for the firm.
  • Support AI projects to drive engagement and awareness across the firm.

We are looking for a pro-active, highly engaged and adaptable Knowledge & Innovation Paralegal to join our Knowledge & Innovation team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the firm's AI, legal technology and innovation initiatives, helping the firm adopt new ways of working and realise the benefits of generative AI.

This role may be particularly suitable for someone interested in developing a career at the intersection of law, technology and innovation, or a paralegal looking to move into an innovation and legal tech role.

This full-time role is based in our Bristol office with considerable scope for flexible working. There may be occasional requirements to travel to any of our office locations.

The role

  • Support the delivery and ongoing development of the firm's AI and legal technology initiatives
  • Assist with the development, testing and refinement of prompts, workflows and use cases within approved AI platforms
  • Gather user feedback, monitor adoption and help identify opportunities to improve the use of AI tools, workflows and ways of working
  • Help develop user guidance, practical resources and workflow documentation to support responsible adoption of AI technologies
  • Act as a point of contact for routine queries relating to approved AI tools and innovation initiatives
  • Monitor AI developments and emerging use cases relevant to the firm
  • Support AI, legal technology and innovation projects, helping to drive engagement, adoption and awareness across the firm

What we are looking for from you

  • An interest in AI and legal technology, with a willingness to develop specialist knowledge and support the adoption of new technologies across the firm
  • Relevant legal experience or education, such as experience in a law firm or professional services environment, or a degree, qualification or other experience demonstrating an interest in law and legal services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about emerging technologies and their practical application
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to organising information
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and confidence learning and using new platforms
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience of using generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Harvey, Legora, ChatGPT, Claude or similar technologies is desirable
