Job summary

Knauf Ceiling Solutions is seeking a Specification Manager - Ireland to drive specification sales with architects, specifiers and consultants. You will promote Knauf ceilings, drywall systems and related solutions at design and planning stages, converting specifications into long-term business.

You will work with a global team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, delivering technical advice, CPD seminars and product recommendations throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in specification sales for construction/building materials.
• Technical knowledge to interpret architectural drawings and specs.
• Strong network in architecture, design, construction sectors.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence decision-makers.

We are now looking for another team member to join us in Project Specification Team as Specification Manager - Ireland.

As a Specification Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Knauf's product portfolio by focusing exclusively on specification sales. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and strengthen relationships with architects, specifiers, consultants, and other key decision-makers in the construction and design industry. You will ensure that Knauf's products, such as ceilings, drywall systems, and other solutions, are specified in projects at the design and planning stages, securing long-term business opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Proactively identify and target key projects and stakeholders to ensure Knauf products are specified in the early stages of project planning.

• Work closely with architects, designers, consultants, and specifiers to provide technical advice, product recommendations, and tailored solutions.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key influencers in the construction and design sectors.

• Act as the primary point of contact for specifiers, ensuring excellent customer service and support throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develop a deep understanding of Knauf's product range, including technical specifications, performance benefits, and compliance with industry standards.

• Deliver technical presentations, CPD (Continuing Professional Development) seminars, and training sessions to specifiers and design teams.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the specification market.

• Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams to align Knauf's offerings with market needs.

• Work closely with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure a seamless transition from specification to project execution.

• Support the sales team in converting specifications into orders by providing detailed project insights and technical support.

• Track and report on specification activities, project pipelines, and conversion rates using CRM, and all required systems.

What we’d love for you to have:

• Proven experience in specification sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.

• Technical knowledge of building materials and systems, with the ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

• Strong network of contacts within the architecture, design, and construction sectors
