Job summary

Stonegate Group's Pen & Wig in Cardiff is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to support the Head Chef with orders, stock checks, and food hygiene, and to help produce high-quality dishes. You will keep the kitchen clean and hygienic, oversee deliveries, and contribute ideas to improve performance.

This role offers flexible working in a bustling pub environment near the city centre, with opportunities to grow your culinary skills while delivering great-tasting food and drink to guests.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for hospitality.
• Willingness to learn new skills daily.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to assist Head Chef with orders, stock checks and hygiene at Pen & Wig.
• Experience maintaining kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Overseeing deliveries.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance.
• Work with the team to achieve company targets.
