Job summary

Premier Inn Farnham is hiring a Kitchen Team Leader for a 30-hour week, paying up to £14.81 per hour. You’ll run the kitchen day-to-day, manage rotas, place orders, and lead a team through busy services, with audit-ready standards. It’s a hands-on leadership role designed to build skills toward Head Chef.

You’ll work closely with the Hotel Manager to own food quality, hygiene and kitchen operations, gaining exposure across health and safety and cost control in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kitchen teams and managing rotas.
• Experience with placing food orders and stock control.
• Ability to lead during busy services and maintain hygiene.
• Willingness to develop towards Head Chef role.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and manage food costs for the hotel.
• Take the lead during service—organise the team, manage workflow.
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items to spec, from Premier Inn breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure kitchen health, safety and hygiene standards, training and records are up to date.
• Step up during shifts and help new team members settle in.
• Learn kitchen management basics to progress to more senior roles.
