Job summary

Premier Inn Folkestone (Channel Tunnel) is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to drive the kitchen day to day. You’ll manage rotas, place orders and lead a busy team while upholding high standards of quality and hygiene.

You’ll work 30 hours per week at a rate of up to £13.06 per hour, with training, career development and pension benefits available as part of Whitbread, the UK’s leading hospitality group. Join a supportive team and play a key role in delivering breakfast to pubs and dinner services,

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen leadership and shift management.
• Ability to manage rotas and food orders.
• Strong hygiene and food safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping food costs on track for the entire hotel
• Take the lead during service – organising the team, managing workflow, and ensuring everything runs smoothly
• Prepare, cook, and serve the menu to spec – from Premier Inn breakfasts to pub classics
• Make sure the kitchen always meets health, safety and hygiene standards – keeping the team trained and records up to date
• Step up when needed – running shifts and helping new team members settle in
• Learn the ins and outs of kitchen management so you’re ready to take on more senior roles as you grow your career with us.
