Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader for Hotel Indigo with responsibility for guiding the kitchen team to maintain high standards across food preparation, hygiene, and service. The role supports the Kitchen Manager in daily operations and guest satisfaction.

The successful candidate will manage staff, ensure consistent dish quality, assist with stock and menu development, and uphold safety regulations in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Previous chef experience in a kitchen leadership role or ready to take the next step in your development.
• Strong team management and communication skills - Positive can-do approach
• Passion for high-quality food and service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment on own or as part of a team
• Confident to deliver up to date food safety and hygiene regulations
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all chefs in daily operations
• Ensure dish quality, presentation, and consistency meet the expectations of guests and the hotel
• Assist with stock planning, control and ordering
• Maintain health & safety and food hygiene practices across the department to deliver exceptional audit scores
• Assist with menu development across breakfast, dinner and events
• Train and mentor chefs, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Work closely with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
• Monitor kitchen financial performance and working with the FBK manager implement cost-control measures to aid the department to deliver against budget
