Job summary

Benugo Limited is seeking a Kitchen Leader for the John Lewis Glasgow venue. The role involves hands-on back-of-house operation, ensuring top-notch service and compliance with health and safety standards. You will support management, guide the team, and manage daily kitchen activities across multiple areas.

The position emphasizes customer care, adherence to food safety practices, and cost-conscious operation, with opportunities to develop and advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standard of customer service and hospitality.
• Ensure all food safety and allergen procedures are followed.
• Lead a team and manage stock, rota planning and training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer experience to the highest standard.
• Follow food safety, allergen checks and COSHH/compliance.
• Rotate duties across kitchen areas as needed.
• Organise deliveries and check notes for discrepancies.
• Support management with weekly stock variance targets and food cost.
• Ensure menu items are produced consistently to spec.
• Conduct daily team briefings and answer team queries.
• Adhere to Health and Safety and other regulations.
• Handle tills and cash following procedures.
• Develop team through training and labour management.
