Impact Kitchens & Bedrooms are a successful and long established company, who have been designing and installing Kitchens & Bedrooms throughout the North West for almost 30 years from our showroom in Hindley Green.
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen spaces, ensuring that each design meets the unique needs of our clients. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide expert advice, and create designs that reflect their vision while adhering to practical considerations.
This is a permanent full time role to design and sell fitted kitchens and bedrooms. (5 days a week including Saturday)
About You
- Previous experience in designing and selling Kitchens & Bedrooms is a pre-requisite.
- Experience and knowledge of CAD / Virtual Design packages (Articad would be ideal).
- Proven sales background within a showroom setting essential.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to understand the customers’ needs.
- Self-motivated, flexible, ambitious, proactive and positive.
- You must hold a driver’s license and must be able to provide your own vehicle.
- At least 2-3 years proven experience within the kitchen industry essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to determine their kitchen design preferences, needs, and budget.
- Create detailed kitchen layouts using CAD software to visualise designs.
- Present design concepts to clients, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Assist clients in selecting materials, finishes, and appliances that align with their design vision.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery of designs.
- Conduct surveys at client’s homes.
- Maintain an organised project file system for each client, documenting all communications and design iterations.
- Collaborate with our manufacturing/installation teams and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of designs.
- Manage customer projects from initiation to completion, dealing with ongoing queries and ensuring resolution.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations in kitchen layouts.
- Experience with CAD software for creating professional design presentations.
- Ability to sell ideas effectively while also specifying products related to the kitchen design.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics in interior design.
