Job summary

AWD online is seeking a creative and commercially minded Kitchen & Bathroom Designer with sales experience to craft attractive, functional spaces and deliver an exceptional customer experience from enquiry to completion.

The role focuses on designing kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms to suit individual tastes and budgets, providing consultative guidance on products and trends, and converting quotations into sales while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience as an Interior Designer with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Strong passion for design and understanding of current kitchen, bedroom and bathroom trends and styles.
• Portfolio of completed projects demonstrating creativity and ability to bring design concepts to life.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong active listening skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisation and time management with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide an outstanding consultative service to design kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms tailored to customer preferences and budgets.
• Guide customers from enquiry to quotation and product delivery, using consultative selling techniques to secure sales.

JOB OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Kitchen & Bathroom Designer who combines creative flair with strong sales, communication and customer service skills.

Working in a primarily office-based, customer-facing environment, the Kitchen & Bathroom Designer will create kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms tailored to individual tastes, requirements and budgets. You will provide a consultative service, advise on products and current design trends, prepare solutions and help convert quotations into sales.

As a Kitchen & Bathroom Designer, you will manage customer relationships from initial enquiry through to product delivery, including occasional home visits for consultations and measurements. You will also oversee design projects from concept to completion while working towards sales and service targets.

DUTIES

• Customer Service: Provide an outstanding one-to-one service, building strong customer relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals

• Design Consultations: Design kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms around customer preferences, practical requirements and budgets

• Sales: Guide customers from initial enquiry through to quotation and product delivery, using consultative selling techniques to secure sales

• Upselling and Cross-Selling: Recommend complementary in-store products that enhance the overall design and functionality of each space

• Product Advice: Provide guidance on current products, designs and trends, together with relevant technical, warranty and installation information

• Home Consultations: Visit customers at home when required to discuss requirements and take measurements

• Project Management: Oversee projects from concept to completion, coordinating with relevant vendors, contractors and stakeholders

• Performance Targets: Work consistently towards sales and service targets while maintaining a positive customer experience

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous sales experience as an Interior Designer with a successful track record of achieving sales targets

• Strong passion for design and understanding of current kitchen, bedroom and bathroom trends and styles

• Portfolio of completed projects demonstrating creativity, technical skills and the ability to bring design concepts to life
