Job summary

KLONDYKE GROUP LIMITED is hiring a part-time Kitchen Porter for our restaurant at Strikes Garden Centre in the UK. The role requires 16 hours per week over 2 days with weekend work essential.

You will support front and back of house by ensuring a steady flow of clean crockery and equipment, and will be trained in safe pot wash operations. The package offers competitive hourly rates (£10.40–£12.75 depending on age) and a focus on cleanliness, food hygiene, and teamwork.

We are looking for a Part Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Strikes Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 16 per week over 2 days. All positions include weekends working so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

• Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.


• Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins


• Take care to avoid breakages


• Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used


• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards


• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
